Müfit Kayacan born January 17, 1959 in Antalya – Kaş, is a Turkish actor and theater director.

He was born on January 17, 1959 in Yeşilköy, Kaş district of Antalya, as the son of a village institute teacher (Halil Kayacan) father and a housewife (Meryem Kayacan) mother. He graduated from Adana Çukurova University Industrial Engineering.

He is one of the founders of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters (AŞT), where he acted for the first time in 1983, and has been the general artistic director for 25 years. During this period, he acted in 32 different plays and directed 25 plays. At the same time, he worked as the Head of the Department of Cultural Services in Antalya Metropolitan Municipality for 10 years. One of the many festivals launched during his tenure, the ”Interscholastic National Theater Festival” started with the participation of 6 high schools for the first time in 1993. Kayacan, who has also served as a jury member at the Golden Orange Film Festival, is also one of the creators of the Lycian Spectator Games Festival. Within the scope of many social projects, he has moved the theater to villages and prisons and exhibited plays in ancient venues. He is also one of the executors of the Women Meet Theater project.

in 2012, he performed on stage with Adım Tiyatro and also starred in the Kanlı Nigar play “Abdi” for the 16th time. He was nominated for the Afife Theater Awards “Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Award”.

Müfit Kayacan has played in many movies and TV series so far. in 2010, he was recognized throughout Turkey due to being the advertising face of Tüvtürk. He is known for the characters Necdet in the Love 101 series, Cumali Koçovalı (uncle) in the Çukur series, Şenol Yurt in the Aile Şirketi series, Arap in the Alef series and Uncle in the Bartu Ben series, which are broadcast on Turkish television and digital platforms.

He gives life to the character of Hamit Köksal in Bir Peri Masalı series that is currently being broadcast on the FOX TV television channel. The veteran actor continues to take part in new projects within the ’Black Listt' management agency.
