Born in 1982 in Izmir, Gabriele Sponza completed her education in the Culinary Arts Department at Johnson&Wales University in the United States. His mother is Mary Ann of English descent and his father is Enzo Sponza of Italian descent. His father was sent abroad for education and worked as a jeweler in Izmir, so Gabriele was born in Izmir.

After his education, he continued his professional cooking career by working in 3 Michelin-starred restaurants in the Tremolat and Marseille regions of France.
